Introduction
Editing text is exactly the same as any other MediaWIki installation, such as Wikipedia. And editing mathematics is also much the same, as well, in that the TeX notation is used. Thus, to obtain Euler's solution to the Basel problem one type
Euler's solution <tex>\sum_1^\infty 1/n^2 = \pi^2/6</tex> to the Basel problem
Instant Preview
What's special about this wiki is that it provides Instant Preview of the TeX formula you are currently editing.
Firefox
To obtain Instant Preview when editing, press the TeX preview link that is next to the editing toolbar. This will send the current TeX formula to the MathTran server for typesetting, and the result is displayed next to the toolbar. The log from typesetting the formula is displayed underneath, in case TeX found an error in what you wrote. You can use Shift-Alt-Zero as a keyboard shortcut.
Internet Explorer
With this browser, it's not so easy to find out where the cursor is. At present you have to select (highlight) a portion of the current formula in order for the TeX preview link to find it. If you don't select anything, you'll get a preview of the first formula. In addition, the shortcut key combination does not work.
