MathTran - Translation services

Saving copies of MathTran images

This service is only half implemented. We're leaving this as part of the website, and intend to release the service in early July. If you want to use it before then, or want to help out, please contact us.

Suppose you have made a web page full of alt="tex:formula" images. Wonderful. But each time you, or someone else, loads that page, MathTran may be asked to generate that image afresh. Perhaps you'd rather use static images.

We've written a simple script that does that for you. Submit a suitably encoded HTML file, and it will create static images from your alt="tex:formula" calls, and edit the HTML to use these images. You also get back your original HTML, but with a different name. The script returns all this as a zip file, ready for you to install on your website.
