What are TeX tips?

TeX tips are an easy way to find and experiment with small TeX examples. TeX tips have a blue border around them. It's easy to write your own TeX tips.

How to use TeX tips

Related TeX tips are put together in a group. Each group has an input area and an output area. There's an example below.

When your cursor is over a tip, it changes. So try clicking on a TeX tip. This writes the TeX source to the input window, and updates the output window. Notice that output has a green border.

You can change the text in the input window. To run TeX on your input press either the [Return] key or the [Try it!] button.
